Tekenpunt uses cookies and similar technologies on the website tekenpunt.nl. This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use and how you can manage or withdraw your consent.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to ensure the website functions correctly, to remember your preferences or to analyse your behaviour. In addition to cookies, we also use similar technologies such as local storage (localStorage) and pixel beacons.
Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Section 11.7a), the placing of non-functional cookies requires your prior, freely given and informed consent. Functional cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website may be placed without consent.
2. Categories of cookies
We distinguish three categories of cookies:
- Functional cookies: necessary for the correct functioning of the website. No consent required.
- Analytical cookies: for insight into the use of the website. We ask for your consent for these.
- Marketing cookies: for personalised advertisements and campaign measurement. We ask for your consent for these.

3b. Cookieless visitor counter
In addition to the cookies in the table above, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly visitor counter that places NO cookies and does not collect or store personal data: no IP address, no device or browser fingerprint and no link between visits. Umami counts only anonymised, aggregated visitor figures (for example the number of page views per day). Because nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is processed, no consent is required for Umami and the counter works for all visitors, even if you refuse cookies.
4. Analytical cookies explained in detail
We use Google Analytics to monitor how visitors use the website. Data is anonymised wherever possible: IP addresses are truncated before being stored. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google. The data is not used for other Google services without your consent.
When you accept analytical cookies, data such as pages visited, time spent and click paths is transferred to Google LLC (US). Such transfers are subject to Standard Contractual Clauses.
In addition, only after your consent to analytical cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and (anonymised) session recordings: this shows us how visitors use the website (for example where people click or scroll), so that we can improve the website. Text fields such as name, email address and other personal data entered are automatically masked by Clarity before a recording is stored. If you refuse analytical cookies, no session recording or heatmap data is collected; your choice in the cookie banner (see section 6) determines this.
5. Marketing cookies explained in detail
We advertise through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure the effectiveness of our advertisements, we only place the associated cookies and pixel beacons after obtaining your consent.
Google Ads: the gclid, wbraid and gbraid parameters are appended to the URL when an advertisement is clicked and stored by us in a first-party cookie. This allows us to measure which advertisements result in quote requests.
Meta pixel: the _fbp and _fbc cookies are placed when you visit our website after clicking on a Meta advertisement. The data is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Ireland) and may be transferred to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Managing and withdrawing consent
On your first visit to tekenpunt.nl, our cookie banner gives you the option to accept or decline analytical and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
Analytical and marketing cookies are only placed after you have given your consent. Functional cookies are placed insofar as they are necessary for the functioning of the website. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functioning of the website. Further information about cookie management for each browser can be found on the relevant browser manufacturer's website.
